*Vegetarianism is not the only issue, nor was it presented as such... do some research of your own, please, if you wish to improve the page. As I said in a private message, Rastafarianism became very popular from at least the early to mid 1970s and is indeed associated with a vegetarian diet called Ital. I pointed out that Seals & Crofts (very popular band) were Baha'i and their songs which got extensive airplay dealt specifically with the faith. Many of the Haight Ashberry gatherings were organized by the Hari Krishna, though I will have to track down proof if you challenge me on this... Returning to vegetarianism, I'm not sure you realize just how profoundly counter-cultural a non-meat diet is... though modern day France being the most carnivorous country I've ever visited, I guess you could imagine if you've ever tried it (though in fact here at least when you are poor it is easy with so many markets, if you are middle class and must accept dinner invitations, it's a little more challenging...) *Vegetarianism is not the only issue, nor was it presented as such... do some research of your own, please, if you wish to improve the page. -*"clumsy" is '''not''' a diplomatic word, regardless of whether you are "right" or "wrong". This was clearly an unfinished section as I do not have intimate acquaintance with the religions. And '''who are you''' to say what is clear and unclear? I have begun to be a bit suspicious of your views on this matter.+*"clumsy" is '''not''' a diplomatic word, regardless of whether you are "right" or "wrong". I'll add the ref and check to see if the population change table is unclear. I thought it was abundantly obvious, so I may well have missed something.

-*Instead of "not a fit title", a polite person dealing with someone they considered an equal would prefer "'''might not be the best'''". Were the sentiment expressed politely, I might even be inclined to (partially) agree with you. '''But not completely'''. Look up the word ''zeitgeist'' and I think you will see the spirit of the times (''especially in Hegel'') is understood as something that moves history forward.+*Instead of "not a fit title", one speaking to a respected colleague would prefer "'''might not be the best'''". This is the page to modify if you have questions about the structure of the page, aren't sure where to put something, or think that something is just flaky or wrong...

Dropscone wrote: You mean Population growth...not population change.

  • OK, were I writing for an academic journal I might perhaps talk about negative population growth I suppose, but in an informal context, population change seemed sufficiently clear
